It got up to 70 degrees at the Lemur Center today, hooray! Sightings of sunning lemurs were being made all over the place! These two sunny side up sifakas, Euphemia and daughter, Lupicina, were definitely taking advantage of their enclosure's excellent solar orientation to maximize their exposure to the sweet rays. I'm not sure why both have their left hands slightly raised. Did they have a question about when they could return to their free range enclosure for the summer? If so, the last week of April would be the approximate date. Or, in their joy at being in the warm sunlight were they about to start to play wrestle, as young sifaka cannot really help but doing just about every time they are in a warm and sunny situation?
