Seshat’s crowned lemur group (including mate Mosi, and their offspring Seshen and Kek) is not the most daring group of lemurs you will ever meet. They have long had access in warm weather to the lovely six acre NHE7. But even on balmy, sunny and pretty much perfect days, the group prefers the creature comforts of their enclosures in the A wing. Here, Seshen, Mosi and Kek have curiously chosen not only to relax in a wire covered enclosure, but, for whatever reason, they prefer chilling between the open cage door (which leads to NHE 7) and the wire side of the cage—a space of about eight inches! It’s enough to drive a lemur manager bonkers! Seshat at least is up and about in the cage, and looking especially fluffy and beautiful. Could she be pregnant? We might find out next week when the Vet staff checks her out with the ultrasound machine!
