Three year old fat-tailed dwarf lemur Wild Turkey seems to be having a blast as he works on removing raisins and applesauce smeared on the inside of a paper cup presented to him as enrichment. Every DLC animal (except those free ranging in the forest) are given some form of enrichment daily. Enrichment can take the form of food (apart from the animals normal diet) presented in such a way that the lemur has to work for it (from inside puzzle boxes, paper cups, bamboo feeders, etc), or non-edible physical objects such as swings, ropes, new branches, or hammocks. In observing an animal trying to get food out of a puzzle box, or playing wildly with cagemates in a newly hung hammock, it quickly becomes apparent just how much the animals enjoy these enrichment items (and in so doing provide definite enrichment to their caretakers!)
